Murder in the Braids

At the end of last year there was a big change to my publishing life. My former publishers, SpellBound Books, closed due to the ill health of one of the Directors and my series, The Detective Hunter Wilson Mysteries, was picked up by Joffe Books. I am thrilled to be able to share my stories with a whole new audience. It is exciting.

The next book in the series, Murder in the Braids, is available to preorder and will be published by Joffe next week and I hope my new readers will enjoy it.

There is always an element of terror when a reader tells me they have read one of my books. I have to wait for them to say whether or not they enjoyed it, because as every author knows, not every book works for every reader. However it does make my day when I learn from a reader that they have read and enjoyed one of my novels.

Although my books form a series around DI Hunter Wilson and his team each of the books is written to work as a stand alone, so why not take a risk and jump in to this crime fiction world right here, right now? The Blurb

When Detective Inspector Hunter Wilson is called to the scene of a murder has no idea what he is about to walk into. Arriving at the scene Hunter is left reeling to find the body has disappeared, and all is not as it seems.

The vanishing corpse sparks the memory in Hunter of a similar case …the disappearance of a dead body thirty years earlier.

When The Major Incident Team is called in ,they quickly dismiss Hunter’s theory that the two cases are connected – Hunter is determined to investigate the past and the present with the benefit of modern DNA testing.

Meanwhile DCs Tim Myerscough who found the body has whole other host of problems to deal with, His father, Sir Peter Myerscough, is released from jail and he, too, remembers the earlier murder. There is no love lost between Hunter and Sir Peter.
