Val is an American author living in southwest Scotland.  She has a Law degree from

the University of Edinburgh and an MSc from Napier University.

Val has written poetry, short stories, nonfiction books and novels. Val’s crime novels,

starting with Murder in Edinburgh, form the bestselling Detective Hunter Wilson Mysteries published by Joffe books.

 

She also has a second series, the Renwick and Anderson Thrillers. The initial book

in this series is Murder in the Family.

Both series are set in Scotland.

In her spare time Val enjoys travelling, swimming, and attending book signings to

meet her readers. (Not all at the same time!)

She lives with her husband and their cat.
